Hawaii officials announced Friday closures for most state and city services on Oʻahu because of severe weather, while emergency operations remained active.
State and city agencies on Oʻahu said they would close most non-emergency services on Friday, April 10, because of severe weather.
Governor Josh Green said all state departments on Oʻahu would be closed for employees not considered disaster response and preparedness workers, while emergency operations continued. The City and County of Honolulu said non-essential offices and services would also be closed.
Other official notices said Hawaiʻi State Archives would be closed and that school closures and shelter preparations were also in place as the weather system moved through.
