SP Group says Power Automation has signed an exclusive Singapore distributorship with TBEA to widen its power equipment portfolio.

Power Automation, a wholly owned subsidiary of SP Group, has signed an exclusive distributorship agreement with Chinese power-equipment maker TBEA in Singapore.

SP Group said the partnership will let Power Automation distribute TBEA’s primary power equipment and solutions in the local market. The portfolio includes gas-insulated and air-insulated switchgear, power and distribution transformers, and reactors.

The company said the arrangement also includes technical training and knowledge transfer for Power Automation’s engineering team. That is expected to deepen the unit’s capability as it works on utility and grid-related projects in Singapore.

The announcement was published by SP Group on April 6, with same-day republication by The Straits Times and PR Newswire APAC. No separate public announcement from TBEA was found in the search results checked.

For SP Group, the deal broadens the equipment options available through Power Automation while adding an international supplier relationship in a sector where reliability and technical support matter. For Singapore’s power infrastructure market, it adds another channel for specialist equipment and local engineering support.

The terms disclosed so far focus on exclusivity and product scope. The companies did not immediately disclose financial terms.
