Artemis II splashdown live updates as NASA mission returns to Earth

NASA says Artemis II has returned to Earth with a Pacific splashdown off San Diego on April 10, 2026.

In its final Flight Day 10 updates, NASA said the crew completed the final burn before splashdown and was on the last leg of the return to Earth. AP also reported that the astronauts returned from the moon with a splashdown in the Pacific.

NASA had targeted splashdown for about 8:07 p.m. EDT and said live recovery operations would follow after landing.
