Ukraine said a major overnight Russian missile and drone attack killed at least 13 people and injured more than 100, with the heaviest damage reported in Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv.

Officials said a suspected missile strike collapsed part of a 24-storey apartment building in Kyiv. Rescue crews were still searching damaged sites as emergency work continued in the city.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said the combined strike hit multiple cities and towns across the country. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia launched 656 drones and 73 missiles overnight, with Kyiv the main target.
