Ocean City police and partner agencies say they have concluded a major narcotics investigation targeting a large drug trafficking organization operating across the region.
The Town of Ocean City announced the development on April 7, 2026, saying the case involved local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The official release said the investigation had been a multi-agency effort and that Ocean City Police played a named role in the operation.
According to the town, the case involved the Ocean City Police Department’s Narcotics & Vice Unit and Special Enforcement Unit, along with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office CET, Wicomico County JCAT, Maryland State Police, Delaware State Police, the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations and other partners.
Local coverage said investigators described the case as a long-term inquiry that began in late 2024 and used surveillance, undercover work, search warrants and wiretaps. WGMD reported that the operation led to arrests and seizures of drugs, firearms, cash, vehicles and property.
The official Ocean City release did not include all of the seizure details in the version reviewed, but it confirmed that the investigation had reached its culmination.
The announcement is the latest example of regional agencies coordinating on narcotics cases that cross municipal and state lines.
