Montenegro ecology ministry schedules press conference on new environment investment and Chapter 27

Montenegro’s Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Region Development announced a press conference in Podgorica on Friday centered on new investment in the environment and the closing of Chapter 27.

The ministry said the event would take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Government of Montenegro Press Centre, with Minister Damjan Ćulafić expected to speak.

The announcement comes as Chapter 27 remains one of the key files in Montenegro’s European Union accession process. Recent reporting in March said the ministry had been working through deadlines and had already provided the European Commission with a complete normative framework for the chapter.
