Albuquerque shelter study finds more dog heartworm antigen positives
A study of 402 shelter dogs in Albuquerque found different Dirofilaria immitis antigen counts before and after a heat-based serum treatment. Four dogs tested positive before immune complex dissociation, and 14 did afterward, while a molecular test detected no microfilariae DNA.
